Korea’s latest girlband sensation Twinkle Twinkle

Korea’s latest girlband sensation

Last month we published a story about the popularity of K-Pop (that’s Korean pop music to the uninitiated) and thought it was about time we featured another of the genre’s rising stars.
Girl groups are a staple of the Asian pop scene and acts like the Wonder Girls, Girls Generation and 2NE1 have already reached an international audience – Girl’s Day isn’t quite in that league yet, but given the response to their catchy new single, it’s only a matter of time.
Twinkle Twinkle represents everything good about K-Pop.
It’s is a cute synth-pop anthem with a sing-along chorus, there’s a fun dance routine and a video clip that rivals anything produced by their American or English counterparts.
The extremely popular clip (below) finds the five piece band fighting over the same man.
Most of the girls are willing to play fair but lead singer Minah isn’t afraid to play dirty and takes out the competition one by one.
Think Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Murder On The Dancefloor meets Kill Bill!
Missing your Spice Girls or Sugababes fix? Girl’s Day could be just what you’re looking for.
